Honey Festival Draws Large Crowd

Firestone's 3rd Annual Honey Festival was held on August 29th. It received a tremendous turnout from residents of Firestone and the greater Carbon Valley region. General attendant throughout the day was estimated to be in the thousands. The extensive festival program and tremendous representation by forty-five area vendors was a great draw for this annual community event. The Honey Festival was followed by the animated comedy film, The Bee Movie, which was also well attended. The movie was shown at the Coal Ridge middle school Saturday evening, culminating the festival events for the day.
