Firestone Reviews Operational Plan During Board of Trustees Work Session

The Town of Firestone Board of Trustees and staff meet Aug. 3, 2011, to review the Town’s Operational Plan for 2011. Departments presented second quarter progress, as well as updates for projects planned through the end of the year.

The Operational Plan monitors the progress of town departments, making the organization more effective and efficient. The plan is reviewed quarterly with the Board of Trustees to give them an opportunity to follow updates throughout the town government, while tracking progress on the various goals and objectives set. It also builds internal communications and awareness between town staff and elected officials.

“I am particularly proud of the commitment by the staff members to the process,” said Chad Auer, Firestone mayor. “This is an enormous step – or better yet steps – toward Firestone’s future.”

Trustee Darrell Walsh said, “I appreciate that when we have these meetings the staff is really forth coming with their plans and ideas. As elected officials we need to trust our staff that they are giving us valuable information to make informed decisions.”
