Officer Michael Ringleman joins Town of Firestone Police Department
Police Officer Michael Ringleman was introduced as the newest police officer to join the Firestone Police Department at the Sept. 28, 2011 board meeting.
A Colorado native, Ringleman has been a resident of Firestone for the past four years. “Growing up in a smaller town, Firestone was a great choice for us to raise our family,” he said. Prior to joining the Firestone Police Department, he worked in loss prevention for King Soopers in Firestone, which allowed him to develop a great relationship with the Firestone police officers. He also has experience working as a security guard.
Joining the police force was a natural progression for Ringleman, who did his police training at Arapahoe Community College earlier this year. “My previous job really gave me insight into the team of great officers who work for the Firestone Police Department,” he said.
Firestone Police Chief David Montgomery said, “Meeting and getting to know Mike as he completed his assessments and testing for the position of police officer with the Firestone Police Department was a pleasant experience for me. Early in Mike’s testing, I believed based on his ability to interact with others in a professional and positive manner - and the fact that he is a resident of Firestone - made my decision to hire him an easy one. I know that Mike will be a great asset to the department and the Town of Firestone.”
Ringleman was pinned at the board meeting by his wife, Angie. He believes his experience as an officer will also have a positive outcome on his own family.
