Inside Firestone

The Firestone Board of Trustees meeting was a full house on Jan. 25, 2012, as Firestone Police Chief David Montgomery presented the Chief’s Special Recognition Award to several local individuals and organizations for their efforts in helping to make the 2011 Santa Cops program a success. Those recognized included the American Legion Post 1985 and JoAnn Kidd, the Bella Rosa Men’s Club, Wal-Mart Store #905 in Longmont and Store Manager Brett Newberg and Assistant Store Manager Crystal Rios, Pat Blatzer and the Cowboy Church.

Montgomery also highlighted the many achievements from the Firestone Police Department, presenting awards to the following officers: CSO Angela Gahnstrom and CSO Michelle Powers for work in community service programs and work in the animal cruelty investigation; Sergeant Brian Scott for superior leadership; Sergeant Neal Lucero for major crimes investigations supervision; Officer II Curtis Sasson for traffic/public safety awareness; Officer II Kimberly Cornwell for traffic/public safety awareness; Officer II Michael Cionek for work in major crimes investigations; Officer II Sean Haynes for work in major crimes investigations; Officer II Ray Bueno for traffic/public safety awareness; Officer Lucas Dunker for work in major crimes investigations; and Detective Pattie Dixon for work in major crimes investigations.
