Ent Federal Credit Union Awards “YES” Grant to Firestone Scholarship Program

Longmont and Firestone Settle Annexation Dispute in Weld County

Longmont, Firestone, and private property owners have settled a series of lawsuits involving annexations in southwest Weld County. On Monday, June 14th, those parties filed joint motions with the Colorado Court of Appeals and Weld County District Court requesting dismissal of the lawsuits. Read More

Firestone Community Garden Ribbon Cutting

On Saturday May 22, 2010 Firestone held a ribbon cutting ceremony for its new Community Garden. Firestone Trustee and Parks Commissioner Paul Sorensen led the ribbon cutting ceremony with assistance from Ryan Quam, Manager of The Home Depot store located in Firestone. Mayor Auer and Trustees Walsh, Weinberger and Sindelar Take Oath of Office

At the April 8, 2010 regular meeting of the Firestone Town Board of Trustees, Town Clerk Judy Hegwood administered the oath of office to Mayor Chad Auer and Trustees Darryll Walsh, Jennifer Weinberger and Bobbie Sindelar. Ribbon Cutting and Grand Opening for the New Burger King in Firestone

On February 6, 2010 Burger King held its ribbon cutting to celebrate the grand opening of its new restaurant in Firestone. The new Burger King is located along Firestone Boulevard, just east of I-25 in front of the new Home Depot store. On Wednesday, February 3, 2010, Mayor Chad Auer paid a visit to the Firestone Planning Commission at their regularly scheduled meeting. 2009 Citizen Survey Results

The Town of Firestone conducted its first ever Citizen Survey over the last few months and the results of the survey were recently compiled. There was a significant 22% return rate for the surveys that were mailed to Firestone households. Read More

This video clip shows highlights of Mayor Chad Auer’s comments regarding Firestone’s economic development efforts and highlights from Home Depot’s grand opening event. The Firestone Home Depot store held its grand opening on June 10, 2009. This is the only Home Depot store to be opened in Colorado in 2009. The Firestone Town Board put forth a tremendous effort to welcome Home Depot to Firestone. Play Movie
